Early game mechanic issue, a couple hours in. I’m wondering if it’s just a weird game mechanic or if there’s something wrong with my setup.

I just unlocked the dash/sprint, and I’m not quite getting how it’s intended to work. I can’t seem to just do a quick dash, I have to hit the trigger again to stop running, and now Hornet starts running every time I climb a platform. I’m pretty sure it’s not intended to be like this.
If you’re not currently pressing the trigger and Hornet is running, then something is wrong.
That’s what I was thinking, but I can’t seem to do anything about it.
