Terrorists riding a motorcycle opened fire on two young men in the village of #Rablah, a village with an Alawite and Christian majority in the #Qusayr area of western Homs countryside, this evening, Friday, September 25, 2026.
This resulted in the killing of young Ahmad Hassan Alloush (al-Yousef), and the wounding of his cousin, young Moussa Hussein Alloush, with serious injuries, both from the Alawite community.
Following the terrorist attack, the #HTS-led General Security militias stormed the village and threatened its residents against sending news of the incident to journalists.

❗️Iraq seeks alternative energy routes amid Strait of Hormuz disruption
Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi said Baghdad is working to develop new energy lines and corridors with regional countries to diversify supply routes amid disruptions to shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
Speaking at the UN General Assembly in New York, Zaidi said Iraq was seeking to diversify its oil export ports and develop energy corridors linking Iraq with Turkiye, Jordan and Syria to access global markets and strengthen energy security.
He added that Baghdad was working to “contain the subsequent risks” linked to disruptions in transport and maritime navigation.
Iraq has been pursuing alternative export routes amid the disruption of its traditional Persian Gulf routes, including efforts to expand exports through Turkiye and develop routes through Syria.

❗️Syria begins trucking gasoline to Iraq via new energy corridor

Gasoline delivered to Syria is now being transported by road into Iraq, a senior Syrian oil official told Reuters, creating a two-way energy corridor along a route Baghdad has used to move fuel since shipping through the Strait of Hormuz was disrupted.
The first shipment to Iraq, consisting of around 32,800 metric tons of gasoline carried by the Marshall Islands-flagged tanker Avanti, was discharged into storage tanks at Syria’s Baniyas refinery before being transferred to tanker trucks this week, according to Tareq Shallash, director of the Refining Directorate at the state-owned Syrian Petroleum Company (SPC).
Shallash said 77 tanker trucks had already departed Baniyas for the Iraqi border, with loading operations continuing and additional shipments expected.
He said the gasoline was not produced in Syria and was not taken from reserves allocated for the Syrian market.
The operation is being conducted under a transit agreement between SPC and Qatar-based UCC Holding, which Shallash identified as the supplier and company overseeing the transportation.
“A contract was signed between SOMO and the Qatari company to supply Iraq with improved gasoline through the port of Baniyas by road tankers, and the supplies have in fact been delivered on a regular basis,” Iraqi Oil Ministry spokesperson Saleem al-Rikabi told Reuters on Friday.
Shipping data from LSEG showed that another Marshall Islands-flagged tanker, Gaita, loaded gasoline at the Port of Houston before sailing to Baniyas to discharge its cargo.

❗️UN adds 61 companies to database linked to Jewish Israeli settlements
The UN human rights office on Friday added 61 companies operating in Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank to its database, which the UN considers illegal.
The database, first published in 2020, now contains 214 companies, most of them Israeli, alongside firms from 10 other countries, including France, Germany, China and the US.
Among the companies newly added are Israeli pesticide manufacturer ADAMA, which is part of Chinese-owned Syngenta Group, Israel-based real estate investment holding company Alony Hetz and Spain’s Salvat Logistica.
They join firms already listed, including travel agency Expedia and home-rental company Airbnb.
❗️Araghchi urges Europe to abandon its destructive approach towards Iran
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called on European governments to abandon their “destructive and irresponsible” approach towards Iran and regional developments during a meeting with UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.
According to a statement from Araghchi’s office, the two ministers discussed bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments.
Araghchi attributed insecurity in the region and the Strait of Hormuz to “military aggression” by the US and Israel, with the support and complicity of some European governments, which he said had inflicted significant damage on Iran, the region and the world.
Araghchi said lasting regional security depends on ending the Israeli occupation and realizing the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights, particularly their right to self-determination.
