    I hate that it sounds like I’m defending it but no, it only becomes illegal when you hide it.

    But Mr. Pedo here can pick his 14 year old “friend” up from her parents every night for dinner and a movie and no laws will have been broken. We all know that he still groomed her but this post isn’t an actionable confession

      Yeah, it only becomes illegal if he talks about sexual subjects with her or initiates any kind of sexual contact.

      Realistically speaking, though, over a six-year “relationship”, it’s highly unlikely that something didn’t happen, but this is my first exposure to any of this, so I have no idea.

        Apparently the age of consent is at least as low as 14 in some states, at least that’s what the police said, then you have Romeo and Juliet laws I think one you have to be dating for 2 years or something.
