I have made a informational video for demonstration.

    https://user.uploads.dev/file/c7f1b2677cb4c85ac301b2c2f3d9d732.mp4

you see, the dev being one individual who cant be on most hours of their free time has set up this system where we as users are able to just block people who we no longer wish to interact with. this gets better though, so after so many users block a person for their troll antics of bad behavior there is a automod response that will ban said individual, it’s not exactly like that but im not trying to bore anyone with technicals. So in conclusion just block the kid and don’t worry about them. i think that is best action that may be taken as that gen in particular does not have a active moderator its one of the demo gens. best of luck.

I’m saying minors shouldn’t be in 18+, not really for their safety, but because it makes adults feel weird. like, anything they say or share might suddenly look wrong. imagine someone just says they’re 16 and walks into an adult changing room, the whole mood drops, people stop talking, not cause they did something bad, but cause no one wants to risk it.

even if I block that minor, it doesn’t fix it. I can still see other adults chatting with them, and I know it’s happening. some adults don’t even care it’s a minor, they just keep going like nothing’s wrong, and it makes everything awkward.

good point tbh. i rarely interact in 18+ areas so i lack that perspective, but it makes sense. also how being a pedo ‘damns’ an adult so they have to be absolutely clearly not a pedo. Which is complicated by someone under 18 being in the chat. The adult cant comfortably tell their friends they were talking in their sexy chat with someone underrage cuz that’s pedo behavior.

i get where u are coming from better now i think. thank you.

Moderation of the kind you’re talking about is a full time job and an industry. Yahoo once had a thriving chatroom service, but they couldn’t stop minors from using it (or adults from talking to minors) and they took it down. The entire service. They were years ahead of other social media services in that department and they just tanked it because they didn’t want the risk.

If a billion dollar company can’t stop this from happening, I wouldn’t invest too much grief in making this place controlled.

I would only focus on reporting people who are actually trying to commit a crime against children. Grooming and other sleaziness. The atmosphere should be vigilant against actual pedos coming here to find targets.
