    I just pronounce it phonetically. It isn’t my fault her language was designed by a few too many folks imbibing said saponification’s results.

      So you pronounce it ‘suh-PON-uh-fuh-KAY-tee-on’ ? I’m not sure how phonetical pronunciation is distinct in this context.

        The person you are replying to has not considered the difference between phonetic and orthographic. Technically nothing written can be pronounced phonetically, or rather, everything pronounced is phonetic because once you are speaking it is no longer written word. One can transcribe phonetics to symbols and retransmit them at a later date but the words on the page are signifiers of sounds not the sounds themselves.

        They just meant they read the word how they thought it should go.
