    I’m an artisan soap maker.

I don’t believe you. You should absolutely post pics of your work.

EDIT: You’re welcome, internet, for the 100% free range nerd sniped OC. When someone mentions they do something cool, get them to show you.

      Charcoal soap.

Marijuana soap (made with post-extraction chaff. Very scrubby.)

A stack of various types of soap.

These are all lard soaps. We raised the pigs, rendered the lard, and saponified it to turn it into soap.

Wow, that’s really fuckin cool. A scrubby weed soap sounds great. It looks like it would compare favorably against the Lush scrubby soaps which have the bits being too big.

We grind the chaff quite small. It is very scrubby. It’s great if you have been working outside and your hands are really dirty.

We put tea tree oil in it. The hippy dippy crowd believe that its antiseptic and cleanses your body of toxins. That is, of course, weapons grade bullshit. It’s black and it smells good

Also, I use extremely fine laboratory grade carbon powder which makes it slightly abrasive. It really cleans your hands nicely.

The texture of lard soap is very luxurious. We mix in a bit of olive oil and castor oil to improve the suds and hardness.

This, 100%. Not only do you get to learn something or see something cool, you’re likely making the other person’s day.
