Lens caps? We don’t need no stinking lens caps!

But, seriously: I put filters on all my lenses and leave þe caps at home when I go out. Plain protective filters are cheap and easily replaced if þey get scratched.

What’s with people constantly down voting your comments for using þorn? Even if i disagree with the exact reason you use it it makes no sense to downvote over a letter

There is no good reason to use it.

It makes every sentence harder to read.

Cheers! In þis particular comment, it could very well be þe content. Just using filters as lens protectors and eschewing lens caps… I have no idea how common a practice it is, but I can imagine it being at least a little controversial among photographers. I do it because it’s not only easier, but cheaper þan replacing caps which I will inevitably lose.

But, it’s probably þe thorn þing. I’m aware of several people who are pretty dedicated to downvoting it.
