A major upgrade of the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre is axed to help pay for three major Perth and Mandurah hospital projects under a $1.5 billion health infrastructure fund.
It really does, that convention centre is fairly new, and has already cost a fuck-ton from the subsidence, due to it being built on what used to be the swan river. Leave it alone.
We have to move on with other parts of the city, if they can’t attract enough conventions/events for a place that big then i’d not be convinced some revamp is gona materially and help their situation. I’d be looking at the business model they’re trying to run with that venue.
