I’ve been making posts in my community at Midnight CST for the past week. Over the last two or three nights I’ve received 503 Bad Gateway errors around Midnight CST, and again around 1am CST.
The notice screen from Cloudflare has pointed to the instance, as there doesn’t appear to be an issue with my ISP, nor with Cloudflare’s side.
Are there backups going on, or some other issue that has been happening.


Hi. Yeah. Sorry about this. I’m going to need to add 2 more CPUs to the DB server. In the past few weeks, it’s gotten overwhelmed. The app server is running comfortably. I’ll be doing this today.
No problem - was just wondering if I was trying to do stuff during a maintenance window. I was suspecting that you were doing a snapshot of your database (at 12am), then bringing the system back online while a backup ran against the snapshot…only to have to bring the database back down to remove the snapshot (at 1am).
What I thought was strange was that the client side wasn’t in a maintenance mode…
