The first edition of the Night of the People’s Progressive Revolution (RPP) will be held on September 30, 2026, in Ouagadougou’s Revolution Square, from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM GMT. Outside the capital, this event will also take place in provincial capitals and at diaspora embassies. The objective is to celebrate the achievements of the four years of governance under Comrade Captain Ibrahim Traoré, President of Burkina Faso and Head of State, while emphasizing the need to mobilize around this momentum. The program for this evening, announced on Thursday, September 17, 2026, will include cultural events, discussions, and a review of progress made.

To mark Captain Ibrahim Traoré’s four years at the helm of the state since he came to power, a special night is planned for this year. This night will serve not only as a celebration but also as a reminder of the president’s achievements. The theme for this inaugural event was unveiled in Ouagadougou.

For Sougrinoma Ibrahim Guigma, President of the Organising Committee (PCO), this night will be a springboard for patriotic exaltation and a great moment of civic re-engagement, in accordance with the ideals of the RPP.

" This will be the place to renew our sacred union and our unwavering support for our valiant Defense and Security Forces (FDS) as well as the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP). The Night of the Revolution will be experienced simultaneously in the various regional capitals, in embassies and diplomatic missions ," he declared.

According to him, the evening will offer a space for gathering, information, celebration of national pride and collective projection around the achievements obtained and the ambitions carried by the nation.

“The central objective of this event is clear: this night is intended to be a moment of reaffirmation of our sovereignty, of revolutionary fervor and of popular communion. A platform to give a transparent and inclusive account to our people of the achievements accomplished in their name and for their benefit ,” he stressed.

He also added that: “The night of September 30 will be a powerful mirror of our patriotic resurgence. Thematic windows and concrete projections will highlight the major advances and tangible achievements made under the leadership of Comrade Captain Ibrahim Traoré, President of Faso, Head of State, particularly in the areas of territorial reconquest, economic sovereignty, food self-sufficiency and social refounding.”
