Wasn’t that always Russia’s goal? Or did they want to completely take Ukraine? Where is the compromise here? It’s like he’s saying “stop resisting, give us what we want and we’ll stop attacking.” I think the only benefit to Ukraine here is the end of the war frees them to join NATO, which means Russia won’t attack them again (since NATO would have to fight for Ukraine).
