But then I remember that as a kid in a school of a thousand, probably less than a hundread of us actually had the hobby of reading books in the school library, and I remember that the common person, much less teens and young adults, don’t actually read for fun and its just the same as it ever was. There’s a whole lot of media I dislike, too. I just ignore it. Why do you let this make you angry?
Because these are generally posted about more frequently and memed on or just randomly brought up within reddit space. When it’s placed right in front of your face, it’s significantly harder to ignore.
That will never change as long as you live around other people. It’s up to you to be angry about it, or find healthier ways to cope.

Let the young folks have their fiction. Its not hurting you, and to them its all new as they’re seeing these type of stories for the first time in their lives. In the years head they may come to the same conclusion that you are today, but let them grow up first and experience the world before you go shitting all over their media.

Why the need for hate though? I also don’t like some franchises, but I’ll just let people who enjoy them continue enjoying them and instead focus on the things I personally like. I also don’t think that people who like different things are somehow stupider than me. FWIW I read a ton of books and like From Software’s storytelling, so I don’t think that correlation holds up.
