Bright side, Labour will cease to exist as a relevant political faction after the next general election. They’re looking at becoming #5 in polling and they have time to slip even further. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Yeah, it’s not encouraging, especially since the current DNC is demographically the same yuppies who were republicans while they lost congress for 50 years straight last century, so we KNOW no amount of losing phases these fuckers

the current DNC is demographically the same yuppies who were republicans while they lost congress for 50 years straight last century,

the real indictment on them is that they’ve held control of either the house or senate 36 out of the last 50 years of congress and each time their control coincided with a democratic president; they’ve caved into republicans’ demands each end every time.

and they’re not just demographically the same yuppies from the last half century, they literally are the same. the only thing that scare’s me more than project 2025 as a queer (and by far) was created and levied against queers by dianne feinstein 50 years ago and it’s still being used as a legal cudgel to prevent some queer spaces from reopening after covid stresses forced their closures.

feinstein disregarded calls for her retirement despite clear signs of age induced cognitive decline and died while in office. i suspect she was the lesson that informed biden’s decision to step aside to let kamala harris run and dispel notions of a party that has become too ossified to meet the moment of today’s problems.
