Those announcements at the women’s world cup were worthless. They didn’t give any reasoning for their decsisons.

Personally I didn’t really get this, it maybe made the experience marginally better but if we’re not getting full explanations or live audio then it doesn’t help much. Maybe it makes a bigger difference in the stadium compared to on TV though.

Mic the ref, stop the clock, stadium announcement & video. It’s fine in rugby.
