You’re overlooking hyphenated American immigrant groups from the entire planet who make up the majority of the population (so, almost everybody), Native Americans (nearly everyone else), and the entire fact there are North and South American descriptors (all the rest of the people in the Americas) because those are the names of the continents we live on (all the places).
