Absolutely ridiculous decision to disallowed the goal from a fair cross into the goal which one, the offside was unfair because he let the ball go all the way and wasn’t interfering the shot that came in. Second the goalkeeper looked like a noob by not standing guard against his goal but decided to go in the net with a gentle push which is enough to not let the goal stand. The refs need to think straight next time because they’re very soft to Spain.

How does that get ruled offside in the end? Refs don’t get called to watch the replay for offsides?

Mctomineys goal. Absolute farce to disallow it for a foul on VAR. Absolute farcical.

I can accept that Hendry may have been offside, but then why did they make the referee go to the screen? Am I wrong? Don’t the VAR officials usually make offside decisions themselves? At the very least, shouldn’t the referee get the lines applied to the screen so he doesn’t have to rely on his naked eye?

It seems like the referee did in fact disallow it for being a foul, and ten minutes later the VAR officials told the commentators he was offside because they realised that was a stupid decision. Just a shitshow all around.

If I had a penny for every time a Spanish team benefited from a dodgy referee performance I would have several pennies

You know, in football, you get some calls and you lose others.

Funny how the Spanish at national and club level always come out on top at home though.

Robbed. Sheer corruption from the referee.

Spanish stans pretending otherwise because they are still bitter about being skelped months ago.
