The lithium independence fantasy of America can become a reality sooner with the announcement of an EnergyX project to build a landmark processing plant in Arkansas-Louisiana-Texas. This strategic change impacts China as it is all about blocking the supply chains of the most valuable minerals, which will change the way electric vehicles and renewable energy infrastructure operate across the world in a way that Beijing has never imagined.

EnergyX has already unveiled Project Lonestar Lithium, an innovative plant that aims to produce 5,000 tonnes of its output per year in the initial phase, with an increase to 25,000 tonnes in the final phase. The strategic location of the plant in the region of “Ark-La-Tex” implies the utilization of the existing industrial facilities and the use of the recently identified domestic lithium deposits.
