      Alternatively, they may be used to catch and bind an enemy’s blade. If you can control the movement of the enemy’s weapon, they’re all but at your mercy.

        You need some REALLY good aim to trap a sword right against the tip of your punching dagger. I don’t think that ever really happens.

        There is a European equivalent called the trident dagger and they’re like 30cm wide: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Dague-trident.jpg and they were never really popular because where are you going to put this parrying dagger?
