Triangulation doesn’t work. 99% Hitler loses to 100% Hitler because people who want Hitler vote Hitler and people who want not Hitler are unrepresented. Same reason Hillary lost.

The logic is simple. Vote for one or the other. Making the choice to not vote either passively because unenthusiastic candidate or with intent to make a point, is tacitly accepting that the potentially worse outcome is acceptable. If Trump started a war, raped children, and stole billions, it wouldn’t meaningfully increase Gavin Newsom’s turnout. Conversely if Trump had been less dogshit, Biden’s numbers would have remained about the same.
