You need either a manufacturing industry or Chinese imports to do a green transition. Europe has chosen to deprive itself of both of those things.

Looks like they are starting out by rolling back controls on Russian oil & hauling in repackaged Russian oil from India. Although there have been a few murmurings about China-EU bilateral green cooperation, the EU still thinks they can trick the Chinese into accepting penalties for the industry Europe relies on emitting carbon… while negotiating for help in their own green transition. Can someone please do something about Europe? Iran is busy and doing their part in it already 😭

It’s the Russian gas that they need most of all. And i see no indication that they intend to reverse course on that at all. They are currently doubling down in fact.

The foolish mistake of getting trapped in a great resource sandwich. Don’t decarbonize? Slurp more Russian oil Euro buddies. Being unable to phrase these realities bluntly is what holds their power structure together under the dependency relationship with the US + the markets it opens for them. They would kill us for the facial expressions we’d make at these negotiations. Xiface is so powerful. Do not study Xiface which thwarts you. Become Xifacing, expecting more Euro cringe
