Thanks for explaining. Is it because it is urban warfare? What has Ukraine done well to get that ratio? It’s a bit of an ask but would you know an article /resource that goes into it that is not from a transatlantic bias ie supportive of Russia in the is war but has good critique on their warfare?
Defenders advantage mostly. Its balanced by the fact Russia can strike pretty much anywhere in Ukraine and kill troops in there beds 200 miles away from the front while Ukraine cant do that.
I haven’t really seen a lot of good analysis from articles, but I’ve found this channel has been fairly decent at explaining the tactics and strategy from both sides. And while his style is flippant, he does seem to have good analysis. https://www.youtube.com/@historylegends/videos
