Maybe KFC never was good, maybe nobody knew how bad it really was until the competition stepped up their game and showed everyone how much better fast food fried chicken can be… Never thought of it that way but you’re probably right.
Nowadays there’s way more culinary options from every culture on the planet in my hometown then there was 30 years ago, so my standards in taste have naturally gone up.
