What people aren’t seeing is that this slush fund is Trump buying an army of idiots to add to his brownshirt forces. Not only will there be no consequences for their treasonous attacks, they will be paid for it. If tens of millions are eligible, who and what criteria are to be used to determine who gets a payout? Ultimately, this money will go to Trump supporters as Trump sees fit, so insurrectionists that cause murder and mayhem have the potential for a rich financial payout.
So like, less than $100 each?
I don’t think the “settlement” actually has any limit/restrictions on it.
Everyone is quoting 1.8b because of a “1.776 billion” quote. But the actual settlement document doesn’t list any cap.LegalEagle did a breakdown on it:
I’m very bad with numbers but… that doesn’t sound like anything resembling a substantial amount of money for each individual?
Edit: this is confusing me so hard, I just searched for literally “1.8 billion divided by 10 million”. It confirmed my own calculation but I am not less confused.
The things some people would do for even 500 bucks would rock your mind.
Interesting timing, right before California primary election.
IMO - everyone who has had to suffer under this administration should be eligible for that fund… In fact, it should be the greatest fundraiser for the democrats that Trump never saw coming.
(I know, I know, it will never happen… That’s the joke folks…)
