Lately the Comments section under Perchance generators have turned into something disgusting, and it’s troubling that no one seems to be doing anything about it. I’ve been seeing shit like CP requesting: , sharing “secret message” links: and possibly even CP sharing quite often. Looks like those chat rooms aren’t moderated at all and are becoming a ground for criminal activity. I, and I’m sure many of us as well, would really despise it if law enforcement took the problem in their hands and took down the only free and limitless AI generation site. Comments need to be either moderated or shut down, otherwise this site is at risk. Perchance is all about AI, so you could at least install some AI filter to check messages in the chat if you can’t do anything else.

Please, take action.

Edit: who the fuck is downvoting?

CSAM is criminal, no doubt. No justification exists for its creation or distribution. I would, however, point out that there are opportunities available to flag such material, or users promoting or seeking it, including the generator with comments that allow it. I’ve used some of the uncensored generators, but never comment if the option is available, because I don’t want to be involved with how others use the generator, even if only by being swept up in the inevitable investigation.

This problem is as old as the internet, and will always exist. AI actually makes it infinitely easier to bypass moderation and censorship! It seems to me that people who are trying to shut down sites like Perchance, which are not intended as venues for any kind of criminal activity, but rather are available for freedom of creation and expression, need to find something better to do with their time. If fighting CSAM is their life purpose, good on 'em! But they’re time and resources would definitely be better spent, and more effective, focused on legitimate targets, like those who actually produce CSAM, prey on children directly (the fact that minors can see or access adult content is another issue entirely!), and deliberately facilitate any component of that behavior.

Quite well put! Though, what I’ve been currently advocating, is the removal of a comment section on a specific generator that’s notorious for csam distribution

I’m yet to understand how doing my basic civic duty, in reporting all the CSAM I’ve come across in light of obvious administrative negligence; is crusading

And again, just because there are larger platforms that have the material, does not necessarily remove the risk at hand

Because this kind of shit running freely there puts the site at risk (let alone the obvious argument that it shouldn’t be distributed anywhere, and we should do what we can to stop it). Isn’t it clear.

And yes, if no one’s gonna moderate the comments, they should be removed. Is it also not obvious that the lack of proper moderation attracts bad apples, and bad apples can bring trouble upon a site that does next to nothing to counter it?

First of all, how did you even manage to conflate “free and limitless AI generator” with a “no-limit user chat”?.. Secondly… Can’t you see how you’re contradicting yourself? You agree with my concern about Perchance being in danger, yet you argue against preventing the very thing that endangers it. I’m not arguing for any censorship at all except against CP networking and other illegal shit. And given the indifference/absence of the dev, don’t you think the best option is removing the comment section entirely?

The flagging does a shit job, aka nothing, to prevent it. Even if you get banned, you can easily circumvent it by changing your IP, and the fact that nothing prevents those messages from being sent in the first place is a problem. So you can do whatever you want until you get banned, and then switch your IP and continue. Is that moderation?

CP distribution and possession is illegal, and if a site facilitates it, even by negligence, it eventually attracts legal attention. Obviously, the priority should be CP producers and active pedophiles, but it doesn’t mean we should do nothing to its consumers.

Perchance warns you several times that you should only use a NSFW generator or view NSFW images in the gallery if you’re 18+. If a minor actively chooses to access adult content, that’s on them. What, do you want an ID age verification? Be fr.

If there was moderation filtering out those creeps in the first place, that wouldn’t be needed.

If I was making a generator, I would just disable the comment section entirely, or write some (sadly, fake, as we can’t actually implement it) message that there’s a strict AI moderation that sends your whole data to the cops if you write something like this, lol.

I can think of some other ideas - such as trying to implement an extensive word/link text filter.

And did you change Comments to Feedback and disable other users except yourself from seeing it? If yes, nice move.
