        I think the colors are borrowed from the NYT game Connections, where yellow is the easiest, then green, blue, and purple is the hardest.

          Agreed! I generally find them to be accurate to that ranking too, so this is just my complaint that I thought blue was incredibly obvious and should have been yellow (easiest) for my evil point-scoring machinations.
