Apple quality control

Apple should offer a pre-dinged device option. This would alleviate my stressing about the brand new state of my gear until they eventually get blemished. $50 off and it will come with a small scratch. My life would be less stressful.

If it’s meant to be brand new, and you aren’t happy, get it returned and replaced. After all, it’s your money and your phone!
