It beeps when you press the button.

It beeps when you place it on the base.

But today, it beeps no more.

I classify this as a repair.

    you can also cover the small hole with tape first. this reduces the volume quite a bit. I do this if I can’t reach the underside and I don’t want risking to damage the PCB.
