I bought the first new generation and then the second new generation both had issues with Dolby Atmos, they still do. Moved on to NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV Pro Streaming Media Player. At 200 dollars US it isn’t cheap but it’s the best out there. Its 4k upscaling cannot be beaten.
