Who was asking for this?
It’s a co-op game last I checked so I doubt the bugs are screaming hax when they get shot through a wall.
In the FAQ, they mentioned specifically that “Steam Deck and Linux compatibility remains unchanged”, so they have at least ticked the box to enable Proton support for the game.
Gott sei Dank
Yeah, logged in this morning just to check. Didn’t play a mission so can’t say there aren’t any issues, but EAC doesn’t just forbid you from playing.
I wonder if you’re eligible for a refund because the game suddenly became unplayable 2 years after the launch because they decide to brick Linux gaming.
Edit: I know Linux still works. I was just generally wondering
Valve refunded me after rocket league dropped Linux support long after I paid for it. This was before proton made it work again regardless. So there is history of it happening.
No judgment, I’m genuinely curious: isn’t “brick” for hardware?
Hmmm. I use it freely as an alternative to breaking. But that’s probably not a correct way to use it.
Old man trying to be hip and all that.
You raise a good point :).
Some guy had to insist a lot to get his For Honor game refunded because they removed Linux support. Technically was not officially supported by the dev, but implicitly supported by Valve on the store page, so imo they should refund.
My mate on windows reports it crashes like clockwork at the end of every mission for him now.
As is tradition with any HD2 Update.
For every crash, a new Patriot is born
Insofar “Veterans for Peace” is made of patriots. I mean, it is, but yeah.
