Hope Americans realize that the USDA isn’t paying anyone anything. We’re paying for it. We’re paying for it at both ends with higher prices for groceries and our tax dollars acting as a subsidy. I hate reframing tax expenditures as money being taken from us, because generally there are a lot of programs that benefit us that are worth having. This particular case is different because they are cutting so many actually beneficial programs just to write checks to the top 10%.
