Has-Been does something scandalous. Internet ensures the internet that the Has-Been is not relevant by gossiping about them, their associates, their family and friends, which apparently nobody cares about.

I think you don’t understand the meaning of “has-been”. A has-been is someone whose glory days a far behind them, they peaked ages ago and they know it, yet they struggle to cling to fame and relevancy. It is pretty common for people to talk about has-beens when something big happens to them - because they were someone once, so they are remembered.
Ethan Klein was a massively succesful youtuber, then he had an incredibly succesful podcast and then scandal after scandal and drama and split up piled up, one thing after another. He left the common public sphere, stopped being influential and became yet another niche microcelebrity sustained by a small crowd of hangers-on. Like Andy Dick.

that is a hasbeen you describe, although i think H3H3 remained relevant the whole time, due to several dramas. other are hasbeens like PPDIE(he tried coming back, but he decided it wasnt worth it because dint have the following he once had, a group of asian youtubers i once followed, and some more famous ones that had controversy that shut them down.

the hasbeen is the asian ones i follow, although niche for mostly asians, something drama happened during covid that made them distasteful to watch, now they just peddle as low info asian trumpers.

I think the term has-been is totally appropriate, I would go as far as to say he was also a nobody?

You state that he was successful at something and dwindled. And in terms of success, If these people were somehow a peak of humanity…that’s a dire outlook.

They are just mortals who got too much screen time. Don’t see why they are worshipped TBH.

They weren’t and I did not say they were. To say someone “peaked” is pretty common parlance, there’s often talk of people who “peaked in high school”. This does not mean someone is the “peak of humanity” and it’s honestly odd you’d think it would mean that.

That’s one of my favourite insults.

Young (18) bartender threw it at a bloke drinking in the bar I managed; a typical boomer type with too much money and pride.

Took massive offence and tried to get the young feller fired.

Honestly if you take offence to that insult there’s probably a decent element that’s true.

There was a time where I enjoyed his content for being honest and not being silenced by others.

But that was like 10 years ago. Apparently, people turn into big assholes after a while on the declining curve.

im guessing the lawsuit by the cringey pickup video guy like 10years ago really made ethan high off his own supply, so he probably figured why cant he also have some fun with lawsuits of his own, and also use as a shield of his “Zionisim”

Actually it was his harassment of Triller’s Ryan Kavanaugh that really did him in. He became like obsessive over making fun of him directly because Triller copystriked him for rebroadcasting one of their pay per view fights and reacting live, and he acted as if Kavanaugh himself was personally out to get Ethan.

That eventually resulted in a lawsuit which Ethan lost, and was forced to pay (an undisclosed?) fine AND read an on-air apology and retraction of his harassing statements and never mentioning Kavanaugh or Triller entertainment again.

So then later on, in his quest to destroy Hasan who wouldn’t stop talking about how Israel is doing a genocide after doing apartheid for 80 years, he tried to pull the same lawsuit off on DOZENS of streamers after he released a rambling and incoherent “Content Nuke” about Hasan, his “magnum opus” takedown video which backfired spectacularly and was instantly picked apart by dozens of creators.

Well Ethan sued all those creators for copyright infringement for watching his just released video, just like Ryan Kavanaugh had some to him; and even successfully got one to settle and read a humiliating statement on her stream (Kaceytron); however the rest of them kept fighting and eventually the judge in another streamer Denim’s case not only ruled in her favor, but cited Klein vs Hossenfender (sic?) which was the original FUPA lawsuit that protected react content.

Ethan’s cases all got destroyed by his own precident.

Ethan Klein is a fucking troll too. Can’t imagine that guy honestly thinking he can do better.

I will give him one bit of credit though. It’s smart that he’s keeping his mouth shut about the whole thing.

A lot of his charm was likely his personality. But the whole cheating thing kinda killed that. Plus I don’t find his politics charming at all.

His personality was also just shitting on other people. It was appreciated over a decade ago when he shat on shitty people, but then he could not keep his ass shut

Yup. There probably hasn’t been a single time in their entire married life that someone didn’t see the two of them together and think: “How did he manage THAT?”

They met when he was unemployed and went on a government-funded holiday to Israel that included a mixer with female IDF soldiers, and as everyone knows, IDF soldiers are trained to be horrible, so maybe being in the IDF and therefore constantly being near other IDF soldiers just really lowered her standards.

There was a time where there was a big trend of Generic White Guy YouTuber who made praising their wife their whole personality. It seems we are learning every single one of them was actually a cheater
