The 8ft statue, installed in Phoenix last week to mark one year since Kirk’s killing, was found painted red

A newly unveiled statue of the rightwing activist Charlie Kirk was vandalized at the Turning Point USA headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona.

The statue was found with red spray-paint. A nearby poster memorial in front of the statue was vandalized with red paint as well.

                Because you are MAGAs and/or American Exceptionalists. Blue or red, light or heavy, doesn’t matter, you’re literally using a word right-wing “MAGAs” from back then created and abused.

                Every single American I have spoken to about Mao, they always paint him as a cartoonishly evil guy who would wake up every morning with an insatiable desire to kill thousands of his own people for no good reason at all, just being evil.

                • You always ignore that Japan did a genocide on China. You looooove Japan. Asian Israel, literally.
                • You ignore that the British got them hooked up with drugs just to make money.
                • You ignore that the Great Leap Forward was done to catch-up with developed countries.

                What caused the deaths were the exaggerated quotas that left no food to the peasants. Mao was lied by his piers, because admitting defeat was dangerous to them, but he still found out and reduced those quotas, it was just too late by then.

                No one is perfect and flawless, but, the way you paint China or Mao is the same way you have painted Muslims and Arabs as “genetically-born evil terrorists that deserve to die,” that hate America “for no reason.” You are doing the exact same shit with China, because they kicked you and Britain’s ass. They actually managed to become a behemoth, something you don’t want anyone to do, hence the reason you are currently killing a bunch of children in Iran, “so they don’t get a nuke and become more independent from us” or getting over 30,000+ innocents of us, Mexicans, killed every year with the Iron River. Add another 20,000+ if you count the depression, misery, poverty and silent cardiovascular and neurological diseases an environment like that causes in the poorest and most vulnerable.

                You do that to keep us filled with fear, so we work for you for cents an hour, cheap hand labor. That’s what you are. You know Mexico has the lands to become an agricultural super power, same with its oil reserves which you already frackled and left us with all the mess frackling does, you simply don’t want us to succeed. You pay us a sixth of the salary you pay the average American worker, just for being Mexican. Working as a software engineer from home, same results, same effort, same everything, except the salary, we and Indians and so on are being exploited by American worms.

                So, for so long, I used to believe American propaganda about Asia. Ever since I was a kid I noticed you only talked negatively about it all the time. Their air contamination, their overpopulation, their exploitation, you only showed the bad, never the good. I had to go read and find out myself, and what I found out, was just another fabricated attempt to create a similar movement as Islamophobia in the USA, but toward Asians: Sinophobia.

                That’s literally America’s strongest and only talent: Their ability to turn people into racists. Just look at you, you probably cannot even properly explain why you hate China. If your only responses are “cuz they communists, authoritarians” you are literally a MAGA.

          Mao’s writings on epistemology (on practice, on contradiction, where do correct ideas come from, & on the correct handling of contradictions among the people) are incredible, and I think everyone should read them. Especially the first two!

    I think a paintball gun would be a better choice next time. They’ll put up more cameras, another fence, etc. A gun would be faster and they could stand back a ways.

        To be honest, Idiocracy was an optimistic look into our future. At the very least they were actually trying to fix their problems and willing to listen (at least somewhat) to the smartest person in the world to do it.

        Not to mention, they were willing to change their minds when presented with contradictory evidence.

          There’s an implicit criticism in Idiocracy of “Smart” people. Specifically, of institutionalized and bureaucratized forms of tracking and grading intelligence.

          The movie kicks off with a bunch of ostensibly smart people doing a bunch of stupid shit - putting careers ahead of family, turning the military into a status symbol, prioritizing asthetics (curing baldness) over real human health. It’s implied that the human response to declining intelligence is to build a supercomputer that outsources all our thinking from us.

          If we’re living in anything, it’s the prequel to Idiocracy.
