You have to download more RAM. Worked for me, now it opens instantly, very often it opens on its own.

The whole social media may disappear at some point, it all depends on the community and human kind as a whole. The simple truth is that people want entertainment, if AI is capable of delivering better, it will be embraced.
I’m not saying that this is good or bad, I don’t like it either. So I do what I can to support what I think is good and give my disapprove to what I think is bad. If Instagram becomes a place for AI influencers, I’ll just ditch it. This should be the natural reaction of everyone, unfortunately this is what all “influencer” thing was heading to. From the very beginning of their careers they advertise fantasizes, they used every piece of technology available to enhance their looks and lifestyle.

With the introduction of technology, they were the ones to take advantage of Photoshop, Instagram filters and all. Now the technology advanced enough to not only be an instrument to enhance their looks, but to fully replace them.

The Ascent with my wife in local co-op, really nice one as she’s not really intro video games, but killing everything on screen and having to coordinate ourselves seems to be enjoyable.
As it’s almost Christmas, watching Harry Potter and playing Hogwarts Legacy creates quite the atmosphere for holidays.
I tried using free tier NextDNS on a network with 2 Samsung TVs hooked up and hit the threshold of 300k requests within a week. It’s mad how much data Samsung is collecting from their smart devices. Even when not using any features, the TV may stay with a screensaver and still send lots of data.
He came home, he’s quite a traveler.
No idea, came home feeling bad, took him to the vet and we were told he has eaten something poisonous. He’s a fighter and now he’s a bit better, started eating.
Here is Pusel, he’s currently recovering from getting poisoned.
You can use KeePass, but you’ll have to figure out a way to have your password vault available on other devices (can do it by using any cloud shares, i.e. GDrive). This way you’ll be in charge of almost every aspect of your passwords. But you’ll have to take care of backups and keep everything in sync.

Basically the degrees in industries that lack specialists get more free slots whereas the others get less. As a student you can still start studying for a fee, if you don’t match the requirements (usually it is based on grades) but you can get to a free slot later on if your grades are good enough.
aicse@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Americans, how would you feel about making student loans completely illegal?7·2 年前Why not make it free? At the end of the education cycle the student will get a job and start paying taxes. Isn’t that what society needs? Having educated people to do various jobs. Why putting that behind a crazy paywall?

The wrong language in the picture is Russian. Because the Russian word for ninety is an exception and doesn’t follow the same rule as 80, 70, etc.
You are neither wrong nor right here. Yes the Russian word for 90 does not follow the rule as with 80, 70 and so on. It still is a specific word for 90, it just doesn’t follow the same rule as with previous ones. So when saying 92, you still pronounce 90+2.
It is a whole messed up thing with numbers in Russian as there are multiple exceptions, another one being for 500, it just does not follow the same rule.
They also started to fight piped and invidous, nevertheless it won’t make me buy their subscription, I’ll just ditch the platform.

Best way to hide something is to put it in the most obvious place.
This illustration is missing Twitter as well, it is not a phase, I’d say it is a ramification together with Threads.
I have a bit of a different experience. As an engineer, I mostly use English at work, so I usually have issues explaining my area of expertise in my mother tongue and other languages I know. There are lots of terms I know only the English words , so I end up using the term in English or try to translate it and it sounds stupid.
