While the documentation does list quite a few useful details about the specs of the display, the PWM frequency is unfortunately not mentioned. A reliable measurement can only be done with a specialized device like an Opple Light Master. What is the PWM frequency with DeckSight? I’m pretty sensitive to that and my regular OLED model sadly strains my eyes within an hour. Maybe something like this could be a better alternative for me.

Naja YouTube hat bis auf die Kommentarfunktion quasi keine sozialen features. Man man sich dort keine privaten Nachrichten schreiben oder “miteinander befreundet” sein. Trotzdem sind die Inhalte natürlich häufig problematisch.

Boost worked best for me after comparing a few apps for my phone. Coming from Relay it wasn’t a 100% fit but good enough.

I don’t use Lemmy much on desktop because I find all of the frontends lacking in comparison to old Reddit with RES. However Tesseract is my preferred frontend when I am on desktop.

Yeah the control panel revisions took some getting used to, but now I think it’s not so bad. I know where to find everything but I can see how it’s frustrating for others. Rematch hasn’t released yet, but a few public playtests happened. While there are some strong similarities to Rocket League like controlling a single player, the walled arena and having a form of boost, it’s still very different and hasn’t yet given me the same thrill.

Rematch does not have the verticality, and so it’s missing a whole dimension (and multiple degrees of freedom) of skill expression. The arena is significantly larger, as it’s built for more players, which results in a much slower game. It has the potential to be a very solid new esports game, however I can’t see it pulling away many players from Rocket League.

It’s called dynamic compression, often labeled as night mode. Makes quiet stuff louder and loud stuff more quiet. My AVR has it as a feature and probably most TVs as well.

It’s a trend in road cycling at least. You completely degrease the chain and then dip it in a special hot wax. Apparently it lasts longer than oil and doesn’t attract dirt.

Man kriegt bei den verbreiteten Plattformen doch angezeigt, ob das Trinkgeld direkt an den Fahrer geht, oder an das Restaurant. Letzteres ist der Fall, wenn das Restaurant selbst ausliefert. Dann finde ich es auch legitim, dem Fahrer das Geld bar in die Hand zu drücken.

Wenn der Fahrer aber zur Bestellplattform statt zum Restaurant gehört, dann kriegt er das Trinkgeld mit seinem Gehalt zusammen ausgezahlt.
