sighs…system working exactly as intended
This was harsh. Extremely funny but also harsh
It’s so true yet so sad
What’s more open than open source? Open sesame-> Software that grants root access to your most secret files
This ever so slightly masks the truth. The horror didn’t begin now. imho, this is instead clearly the moment our normality finally shows its violence
Is-a.dev was a thing once too I think
That’s a tall order and almost paradoxical in nature by default. I’m quite confident hosting your own portfolio on your own website is the closest we’ll get to this.
Have you already looked at Gitlab, codeberg, gitea or forgejo?
Speak english doctor! But really is this a fancy way of saying its ok to docker all the things?
Are we still crafting statues about Jeffery Epstein?

Do I need a nonnegative credit score to apply for one? Can I use chatgpt to apply for one?

Everyone is fighting their own battles in their own way. If you work for ICE or some other heinous TLA, we absolutely need you to be a complaining impotent loser beyond any doubt.
They want us to oversimplify like this–Don’t fall for these bonehead tactics. I know it feels good to antagonize and gas others up in avoidance of idleness, but don’t forget this might be exactly the kind of inactivity they’re hoping for. Be the resistance that is needed, and don’t forget to get crafty with the form such resistance takes.
When the symbolic order fails, people say ‘no one cares’ — that absolute negation is false universality; the real task is to organize particular struggles that make this claim untenable.
Just diggin a bigger hole lol
“There is great disorder under heaven, the situation is excellent.”
The moment institutions fail is the moment to mobilize a new, collective ‘we’ that forces accountability. Don’t give up just yet OP, it certainly looks bleak but

You strike me as a user who’d benefit greatly from minimizing tool counts–this is a lot of steps for what a small pocketbook and pen can accomplish.[Also very little can match the pen/paper combo’s security levels]
With all that said, I know paper can’t grab your attention on its own, for this reason I overlap with tuta calendar (Which should be a reasonable level of security and convenience imho).
When you using that many separate techs, it has to almost feel like the tools themselves require more attention and care than the work you need planned and structured.
half the people here are only here because they were too toxic to be anywhere else?
This is an obvious generalization that is in no way verifiable with any level of quality, right? This is that classic bias from loudest most visible nuisances(not the correct name for it, but I feel it’s good enough)
At the end of the day, toxic users are the way they are due to a relationship with attention. So long as we are the little guy who’s focused on interest-driven communities, toxic users will not feel welcome here by default.
My only issue with this is that a ‘centrist, religious, american’ is never going to put the necessary effort to even gaze outside the labyrinth of walled-gardens. So you’re hoping to cater to the very demographic that is the last to ever find visibility of such a platform
Edit: Install Gentoo
you get my ROFL of the day – Merci!
Naive question: Why would anyone (even mindless normies) care about anything ‘microsoft recommended’?
nix, I understand. But gentoo is superb for learning and those looking to learn. Wait were you just trying to entice people with the ‘don’t eat of the forbidden fruit’ stuff? I really don’t even know what the last line means though–surely there was a typo
