With the amount of admin bloat in most government and education sectors I honestly wouldn’t even be surprised at this point if that was someones legit title.
It sounded like they also had content on platforms like TikTok that they had problems with. Like being dressed as a “schoolgirl” in tiktok videos.
She essentially was fetishizing her job online for money. I can definitely see that getting into some areas that would result in violating some sort of employment policy they agreed to.
To be fair that quote doesn’t really hold true when someone is posting what they do in the bedroom online :P. Though this isn’t a criminal thing anyway.
Personally I like that metric. It would almost be nice to have both an “active users” as well as a view/visit count. It’s nice knowing how much actual activity a community is getting. It’s something that sometimes feels missing from reddit.
It seems weird that spammers/bots would want to target lemmy so quickly considering it’s relatively small size. It makes you wonder if it’s really Reddit or a 3rd party they hired trying to make Lemmy seem like a less appealing alternative with these kinds of attacks.
At the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter in my opinion. People are open to their viewpoints and the good thing about this platform is that the creators viewpoints don’t bring down the individual lemmy instances.
My fear though with these Lemmy instances is that some of them will become dominant, such as maybe this Lemmy.ca instance for Canadian content. It can end up with the same kind of problems reddit faced where communities become echo chambers of one person’s viewpoint and it is hard to move to alternative spots.
Especially when it comes to topics of “hate” and “discrimination”, many people lump a lot of stuff under the “hate speech” category whereas many people would view it as normal non-discriminatory speech. It would be nice to see a place that can support viewpoints that lean far-left, left, center, right, and far right but based on the current rules/dialogue here I fear this community will likely only be more supportive of left sided conversation and will deam differing opinions as “hateful” like we see on Reddit.
Not sure specifically what unit your talking about, but the ductless units are typically fixed outside of the house, not usually on the window itself. And then a hole is drilled through the house to provide the cooling/heating to the headless unit inside the room. This also eliminates the need to insulate like crazy around a window unit like you’re talking about.
