A proper desk is a game changer. I recently upgraded to a rather large standing desk and the extra realestate and ability to stand during meetings has been amazing. Sure beats the old ikea desk i had.

31·2 years agoNot sure how all of this will shake out but my hope is that someday at the very least i can host an instancs for only myself that is so small and miniscule that nobody bothers to defederate with me. At the very least maybe there will be a log of this stuff so we can all see which instancs is the most friendly. Regardless of all this im very happy that the people behind lemmy.world keep it running as smoothly as they do and im happy with it at the moment.
10·2 years agoMy dream job is taking a 50% paycut to do literally anything else that requires 20% of the stress and gets me out of the house. Which could be damn near any other job. But I also like money so here I am
Genuinly good question. I get why they did what they did but i personally would like to be able to see all of the lemmyverse. Being on one the largest instances probably isnt the answer.

0·2 years agoDude I book marked this. It’s really impressive. Idk what goes into making something like this but it’s great. Light weight and fast. Gonna help me keep in touch with some niche communities while alternatives grow. Simply awesome.
