My instance says 1 year and it doesn’t show in hot for me but shows in active. kbin.social.
Yes. He’s gone if this goes through.
It was an admin account that was compromised. No 2FA was required.
I second this. I prefer their deluge container but really like how binhex has things set up.
Deluge in a docker container. I run a media server and use the *arr apps to control things and deluge for the torrent app. I have it all behind a VPN. If the VPN goes down the entire network fails and is unable to connect any other way…. I do not trust a Killswitch and never would.
Just figured I’d let you know I moved to PIA and have things running smoothly again. Thanks again.
Not on kbin they aren’t. The only thing that drives the ranking currently is boost. I think they are working on fixing that though.
Edward……… Ed……… Brother….
If I moved to protonVPN, what all is involved in reconfiguring? I assume it’s more complicated than just changing my VPN credentials to a different provider.
Also, I assume port forwarding is required for the container (deluge one) to work?
Also, thank you so much for the work you do. I’m disabled and have to use eye gaze technology - having a reliable container for deluge has been a god send for me.
I use sonarr, radarr, overseer, prowlarr, and a bunch of other shit.
I exclusively use torrents. Everything is automated and in dockers. No reason to use Usenet IMO. It gets me nothing torrents don’t already do.
This will be the one thing that causes Lemmy to fall…… pure burnout. It’s 2 guys making nothing and thousands of winey folks expecting this to be Reddit overnight.
Then they aren’t federated and likely won’t see posts, right? If instance A defederates from Instance B, no matter what instance B does, they don’t talk.
But a total of 125k across the fediverse, a lot of which who will leave after getting fed up with the bugs, is hardly Reddit dying. Unfortunately.
It’s going to be hard to get people on board with the fediverse. It’s just not as user friendly. It’ll be a cool niche but it’ll never be a Reddit-size product. Which, maybe that’s totally fine. Maybe we get better conversations here due to that.
If they ever drop the track pads I’m out. It’s the only reason I got the Steam Deck as I play a lot of WoW on it and they are basically required. Plus I tinker in Linux a ton too and also they are super necessary.
