Mine was pretty bland too. “Has 1 cat” and “reads fantasy”. I wanted to get insulted.

I avoid subscription fatigue by not subscribing (unless it’s a utility).
My policy is to refuse all subscriptions outside of 1 MMO of my choice. I can only subscribe to 1 at a time, though.
I pirate everything else. It’s been very easy and more convenient than actually subscribing since my friends can actually watch stuff with me and there’s no “household limits”.
I enjoy engaging with anyone who’s passionate about something, even if I have no idea what they are talking about. I know too many people without a passion for something and I can’t relate to them at all.
To be my friend you must have a passion for something, even if it’s not the same stuff I’m passionate about. I can still resonate with that energy.
I have a friend really into crochet and that’s so not my thing, but I enjoy listening to her talk about it anyway.

The only way to get news from my city utilities, mayor, or literally anything local is through Facebook. They do not have a website. Tons of small towns operate like this.
Why is my water brown? I’ll have to log into Facebook to find out.

But what are you going to do about it right at this moment? Presumably if you’re like me you already know who you’re going to vote for, or at least certainly who you’re not voting for. Anything major will pop up in some feed somewhere so you don’t have to listen to whatever dumb shit Trump said on Tuesday.
I get a daily digest from NPR and that’s enough. A 15 minute browse then I’m done with the “news” for the day.
We know all IT departments are primarily composed of furries, so it’s just a branch of number 1 really.
