Almost correct on everything. China isn’t socialist tho. Ask yourself, what socialist country would have a stock market? Would you want to live in a “socialist” country that has stock market, speculation etc.?

Supporting “sex work” seems… very antithetical to socialism/communism, and something that an anarchist would probably support. Inherently exploitative, unproductive labor, that also gives rise to individualistic tendencies? If any work under capitalism is coerced labor, a labor by force, a labor under economic pressure, a labor that is aquired by coercion, then what are we supposed to call “sex work”? People engage in it exactly due to the same economic reasons that other people engage in other lines of work - in other words, to make a living. There are two possibilities, either it was a “free” choice (as free as choosing to be an engineer or a cashier), or they wrre straight up kidnapped, trafficked and forced to do this (according to data it is majority of prostitutes world-wide). Now, knowing that, what are we to call prostitution if not the most degrading, the most demeaning, the most disgusting and dangerous line of work there is? If work under capitalism is coerced, and if coerced sex is called rape, then what are we to call prostitution or so called “sex work” if not paid rape??? On the contrary, what reason for “sex work” would there be under a socialist economy? As we established it is unproductive labor, it does not create value, nor does it help realize it, therefore there is no economic reasons for it’s existence under socialism (even marketing has more “ability” to contribute to realization of value under socialism than prostitution). Why would anyone sell their own body, in the most literal way, if they had all their basic needs met? Why not engage in acts of free love instead, which anyone knows are way more fullfilling? To add insult to injury, consider the fact that 90% of people who engage/are forced to engage in prostitution want to leave that line of work. Please comrade, this view is one of the most harmful ones one can have. Edit: To add even more, the relationship between a prostitue and the rapist is reminiscent of the relationship between the worker and the capitalist. The rapist wants to use your body for the cheapest and longest and to it’s utmost (usually realizing their most deviant fantasies, and resulting in bodily injuries), the worker on the other hand wants to be paid the most, for the shortest and least amount of work. The only difference is that it is not work that is stolen but your bodily autonomy, the right to decide about the physical state of your body.

It’s not even about foresight per se. It’s about a very simple question. Let’s assume taht we even are in the primary stages of socialism, which means some vestiges of capitalism are still residing in all of us, and as such, also crime. What do you do with criminals, thiefs, etc.? Reeducation through labour of course, or in other words - prison. Only when the material and superstructural causes for crime to be commited are gone, and as such, crime withers away, only then can prisons be done away with. So don’t hit me with “future is less forseeable” as if it were some mystical thing, instead of a question that can be worked out scientifically/logically.

Prison abolition is not viable in the forseeable future.
