2·8 days agoI have finished PS:T and I consider it the best RPG ever, despite the really lousy combat system. But if you disagree, that is fine with me. Different strokes for different folks and all that.

Both games were inspired works of art with unbelievably frustrating mechanics, often involving jumping onto moving platforms. I think I actually broke a keyboard playing Flashback. And yet I kept playing.
Back then, if you had a game, you finished it, even if it made you cry. Because you didn’t have anything else.

Der Typ klingt wie jemand, mit dem ich mal DSA (Das Schwarze Auge, Pen&Paper-Rollenspiel) gespielt habe.
Der Typ hat immer einen “Paladin” gespielt, den weissen Ritter der Gerechtigkeit, der keinem irgendwas durchgehen lässt, egal, wie die Umstände sind. Der Typ sollte dann mal DM machen, und… mein Gott, was für ein Desaster. Ein Spielercharakter wollte auf dem Markt was klauen - kein Würfel. Automatisch erwischt. Warum? DM ist Paladin, Klauen ist illegal, du wirst immer sofort erwischt. Kein Bock drauf? Dann spiel doch mit jemand anderem.
Sein Gesicht, als wir alle unsere Sachen gepackt haben und gegangen sind, werde ich nie vergessen, auch wenn es schon über 30 Jahre her ist.
Der Witz ist, dass der Typ (“Admiral Patrick”) sich bestimmt für “lawful good” hält, aber echt “lawful evil” ist.
I bet every time he finishes he shouts “BOOM” and makes little hand gun signs at his wife. Then he farts very manly and instantly falls asleep, drooling manly.
