We learned during Covid that at least half of the country would kill not some stranger, but their neighbors and friends, and not for ten grand, but to avoid the mild discomfort of wearing a mask and social distancing

The 1GB Gmail storage was initially announced on April Fool’s Day and it was quite the topic of discussion whether it was real or not.
A year or two later they upped it to 2GB and also announced this on April 1

It had to get really, really, awfully, embarrassingly bad for me to leave Facebook. But it really was, and a few years ago I did. If Facebook was only half as awful as it is, I would probably still be on it.
And the sneaking suspicion that every social media site will eventually devolve into Facebook has kept me from joining any more.
I still use Youtube for videos on how to do DIY home projects and repairs, but I don’t consider that social media. To me, “social media” is not “an app that distributes content”. I would say “social media” has the user’s real name on it and is for the purpose of interacting with friends and family, and meeting new people. That’s definitely not what I use Youtube for.
My guidance counselor failed me so horribly
Of course not. We also don’t know if the thumbs up numbers aren’t completely fake.

That’s not even it
Han is the only one who shot at all
The design requires that you clear it and pull the trigger before disassembling it
This rule would make it impossible to clean a Glock
Five star rating system was dumb because almost every rating was 1 or 5 stars. It was right to replace with a thumbs up/thumbs down system.
They stopped showing the number of thumbs down. They did not take away the thumbs down button.

Really, no they can’t. There is no way Kraft can shift from selling low-mid grade food to the masses, to selling premium food to billionaires, and make anywhere near as much money.

I have four natural born kids and all of them had their Vitamin K shots, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I trust my doctors’ recommendations on what course of action is best, knowing that there are risks and benefits to any medical treatment, and we do these treatments because the benefits outweigh the risks.
With that said, the article doesn’t mention that the risk of the vitamin K shot is that the newborn’s bilirubin levels can be raised far enough that they have to be treated for it. One of my daughters had to be blindfolded and put under a very bright blue light for several hours or maybe it was overnight, which is not a nice thing to see your newborn go through.
But it is surely better than seeing them bleed to death.

Yes, these would be bad results for a search engine in 2000, and are laughably bad today

The submission says that this is a list of moral priorities, like it’s a list of what the American people think is most immoral to least immoral.
But it sounds like the data is listing what things are most widely agreed on to be immoral, to least agreed upon. Which is not the same thing.

I’ve seen that, plus a couple bumper stickers saying “FUCK Joe and the Hoe” where FUCK is spelled out jn the silhouette of rifles and handguns.
TIL about a PNW problem!
You want FEWER blackberries?
The heck is wrong with you?

More like “I am obsessed with GenZ doing this”
All those military pilots need to fly those aircraft regularly so their skills remain current, right? Might as well do it for an audience.
