3 days agoI was reading “A history of communications” by Marshall Poe for my course. It speaks about how different eras in communication have seen a growth from letters to telephony to television and finally, the internet. My key takeaway was that it spoke about how internet is different because of things like the “prosumer” model and internet culture itself driving much of the knowledge generation. It’s an old book (2010 era iirc), but still rang true for me.
