49·4 months ago“We’re definitely not gonna do it anyway, under some secret agreement.”
I’ve used APs to mesh (5ghz) two buildings together, with a switch on the far side of the arrangement as a bandaid prior to cabling work. APs and switch in the bridged building were managed, minimal load, worked well enough. I’ve also had good luck with UBBs, though these were always mounted outdoors, and at 1km or less. PoE in both examples. Other parts of the networks in all cases were a mishmash of different vendors.
I wouldn’t expect the meshed APs to care about what’s on the other side of them, either, but haven’t tried with unmanaged devices/different vendors. I also wouldn’t expect high performance from 5ghz meshing, but depends on several factors. UBBs definitely don’t care what’s behind them.

You may run into problems with various forms of anti-cheat (kernel level etc.) which may or may not be supported later.

0·6 months agoIf you don’t like or don’t want to see communities that don’t want you to participate, block them and move on. Whether or not they’re right isn’t really important if they’ve made it clear you’re unwelcome, doubly so if you’re going against their own rules. Appeal the others later, if that’s important to you.

3·7 months agoWe already know that autism isn’t caused by vaccines, and if anything, the reverse is true. Yet we have a guy with zero medical background peddling this and antivaxxer nonsense at the top of HHS. If you still can’t see a connection between stuff like this and social darwinism/eugenics, you can start by looking at someone he wants working on this. He worked with his father, and they experimented on autistic children. His father lost his medical license over it.
See the following about how his father lost his license in Maryland. This also happened in other states.

Here’s a link - on Fox of all places - about RFK and “wellness farms” for various things, including the ADHD stuff you had trouble finding. “RFK ADHD work camps” does the trick.
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/how-rfk-jr-wants-help-treat-addiction-wellness-farms
When some rich guy comes outta nowhere and tell you that vaccines are bad, and folks with addictions, mental disorders, or happen to be a bit different from most just need to work on a farm for a while, your first thought shouldn’t be “wow, he’s really trying to help people.” If you’re still stanning this jackass after all of the above, I don’t know how else to help you, but I definitely know you haven’t worked very hard on answering your own questions above. Maybe a farm is hiring, IDK, but I’m done here.

Policy on the local machine - or in the case of home, registry settings. Granted, the settings app can bug out, but if it’s a consistent problem, it’s the first thing to come to mind. If you can search for windows update settings, but clicking on it leads to something else, that would be consistent with such a change.
