This is the most random hill I have ever seen anyone attempt to die on.

There’s money in and around Egg Harbor. She didn’t need to Google where to find somebody to cut her up, she probably already knew four of those guys. But she’d never used a hardware store before.
Ed Solomon, who wrote the first one, is one of those guys who I just love. He takes really stupid ideas and makes them ENTERTAINING even if not good.
The idea that he bounces back and forth between totally forgettable nonsense like this and projects with Soderbergh makes me giggle.
To be fair this movie was crowdfunded and people have been itching for an update. The trailer feels like it’s designed to play to people on Kickstarter and at New York Comic Con (where it debuted and the room went nuts). Those people are all very in on the joke.

It feels almost criminal that with Disney having done absolutely nothing with the IP it still took this long to revert.

That’s an interesting thought! I had never heard anything about a connection, but I’m friendly with Darick Robertson, who co-created and drew the comic. I’ll have to see if he has any insight.
The “3” on the shoulder does feel like it might be a reference to the 3 months thing. It does seem weird having a huge photo of your opponent’s face on you but if these were made for some one-off event, it might explain that, plus why it’s so hard to find any information in hindsight.

No you don’t. Replica Nicolas Cage stole it last night while you slept.

The Anaconda “reboot” looks like a ton of fun

This is one of his go-to lies. He has said it over and over again when elections don’t go his way.

It has been getting worse for decades, not years, and nobody covers it because the corporations who own the media are in on the grift.
Capitalism in the US is effectively a cult.

There Was Nothing You Could Do, a book about the making and cultural context of Springsteen’s Born in the U.S.A.

There has never been a single shred of evidence that Trump supporters view women as human beings who matter.

I think the biggest issue is that Marvel gave fans a perfect jumping-off point with Endgame…and then hit a slump, giving audiences very little reason to jump back on.

It was pretty great! Unfortunately most of the cool villain upgrade side stories happened in monthly books’ crossover issues rather than the main series.

Remember that UGC is in a bunch of index and retirement funds where individual stockholders don’t choose what they get. There are plenty of UHC shareholders who probably hate it.

That is 100% how it reads to me.
This response is very furry-coded.
