Oof, not a chance! 😅 I’ve gotta explore the microcomputer game scene more. This looks a lot like Monster Bash though, is this also DOS?

Here’s hoping you’ll have a perfect spot for one in the future! I feel very, very fortunate finding this one near me for free, and it makes even harder to justify the current prices of these. Once this one has run its course I think that’ll be it for me! 😅
Love Neil Cicierega’s work, Mouth Dreams deserved way more attention than it got!

RetroGaming@lemmy.world•AI is mass decompiling games. That's both awesome and scary.English
0·20 days agoI still spend a decent chunk of time on Reddit, but I’ve been pushed out of a lot of specific retro game communities by both the massive influx of AI-decomps and the immediate hostility if you voice your opinions against it. One walked back its “no generative AI” rule entirely last week. It’s a bit depressing.
Yes!!! For some reason, I have a really difficult time with horizontal shmups, but Thunder Force IV is too pretty to skip.
Still out there? 😛 Curious if you’ve still got that 17-inch and how it’s been treating you!
I’ve been using a Philips 27PT543S37A, and it’s been so nice. The last TV I had was an older JVC 27-inch that capped off at S-Video, and it had some nasty burn-in. I recently set up a dedicated Batocera PC for this one, and was shocked to find that the signal was sharper still than even the Wii through component! 😅

May be an old tube, but it looks super sleek. Nice work getting it restored!
CRT rejuvenators are scary tech to me, but it may be worth a shot to keep the cathodes firing for a while longer.
