11·1 year agoNotice, in Islam there is this thing called “testimony of faith” which is simply the act of making a statement with a fixed script. it does not include a personal (spiritual) experience at all.
The lemmybot script tries to filter out these “testimony of faith” / sjahada, but this one slipped through.

This is a channel where a script searches for testimonies on youtube, and it copies the youtube description to the lemmy post text. but stripes in the youtube description (i.e. — ) is interpreted as headings in lemmy…
i’ll change the script to change the lines, because such huge texts “subscribe!” is quite annoying.

After she sat down at the table our teenager told us to watch him do a cannon ball… we took our eyes off her for just a few minutes, next thing I know, she’s floating next to me. My husband did cpr on her and revived her. She then told us that there was a monster in the water. She said she was scared but Jesus told her to go with him. I asked her how she knew it was Jesus, she said he told her his name. I asked what did he look like, she said he had long hair like mommy, a white dress and yellow belt and he was shining. I was crying and said why didn’t you stay with him and she patted me on the cheek and smiled and said he said cause mommy loves me. Well my little girl had never been to church. The only thing she knew about him was that every night when I tucked her into bed, I would say, “say good night to Jesus, he loves you”. And when he sent her back to me, he had her say the same about me… she’s 22 yrs old now and still can remember her experience. Forever greatful️️

i did a quick check. On the ‘create community’ page and on the ‘modify community’ page, it doesn’t show such option.
i’ll investigate it later.
i’ve asked developers long time ago if a community could be private/not be federated, so that any interesting content could be reposted on another channel featuring the best posts. So that i don’t bother other servers. but it’s not on their development schedule. So best is to go to my sub and block it.
i’ve seen the original video. the title actually isn’t cickbait. There’s video’s of other withes confessing/exposing similar tactics. But this is kind of a rehash. i’ll delete this one.
