Corporations want what they’re terming phishing-resistant passkeys, which have two approaches: hardware-based or synchronized passkeys. If they are forced upon us for certain services or jobs, the least harmful to a worker is a synchronized passkey. Password managers like Bitwarden support this, so that you don’t have vendors and employers tracking your cell phone. If an employer uses something like Microsoft, the administrator settings may not allow synchronized passkeys…but at least we can advocate for them when these auth methods are forced upon us.

I read or watched somewhere an analogy, which proposed three options for interfacing with LLMs. The analogy was something like riding a horse, but essentially: Move ahead, ride on top, or move to the side. That was useful framing for me. To what is the current job market subjugating we workers and if I need to pay for food. After a while, I found a job somewhere in between the second and third thing. Still assimilating the first thing.
