The first few episodes (first entire season maybe) of Office US is worse, but as an entire series there’s little argument that the U.S. version was more engaging, created more diverse and memorable characters, and had much better storylines. This whole thing is even more ridiculous. This backlash isn’t happening because he was silent on the genocide, he’s been silent on it for years. It’s happening because he as the headliner allowed his tour mates to be excluded due to their speech. At no point did he need to denounce the genocide, he just had to speak up internally and say “well that’s Macklemore’s opinion on it and I’m not going to stifle a fellow artist’s speech like that”.
