basedcount seems like a viable option but I asked them to defederate the loli federations etc and its not done (yet). Not sure if they didnt find time or if its bugged but important for me that the admin stays on top of their server for when the ddos kiddies come by.

If we wont manage to find a server im willing to host a small, completely defederated server without image uploads. Should be doable to keep costs under a couple dollars a month. I know donkey has hosting knowledge.

We can use image uploaders like Ye Olden Reddit and freeload on the app developers making apps for lemmy.

2. I actually dont see any critical flaws with Lemmy.

By defederating from the illegal servers and with some team effort its easy to cut down on spam.

While I agree with Kapow on the sentiment that taking the server down highlights the problem with a centralized server it kinda sucks that once the federation got traction it gets shut down lol.

Cant undelete the time spend growing the server and taking the time to upload memes, articles etc.

Turn off the contactlist auto add crap in settings, and check friend privacy, if you add someone as friend it will default to showing your phone number. Turn that off lol.

Poor people dont have manners lol. I realized the same. Started noticing my gripe is with poor people. The attitude, the zero fucks given, the way most cant communicate beyond yelling. You ever want to correct someone on bad behavior in public and you just go “eh might not be the smartest thing to do here”. I never had that thought with other well off people. I used to hate a lot of people until I started my own company and came into contact with other people who were driven for success.

Some people call it education issues etc but I honestly believe a lot of poor folks are actually regarded. Ive been poor and Ive seen what the people around me were doing. The worst part for me is the littering and the noise they make with speakers to get desperate attention.

I agree with the overal sentiment you have. You make one joke and people want to have whole discussions about it. Like chill, its just a dumb joke.

But I also think good jokes have an observational element to them which can offend a bunch of people.

If you identify with a culture or group its only expected that people outside said group make jokes.
